We went to SF MOMA last minute on Monday and Ian didn't know what to expect. He didn't remember coming here as a baby. I had to promise him there was a store inside. I usually don't ascribe to bribery but I didn't want anything to ruin these plans. He loved it. The headphones were a plus and he loved punching in the numbers to hear about the art. He's now throwing around names like Cindy Sherman and Van Gogh. His favorite? Louise Bourgeois.

S.I.X.

You're six!!! You learned to read and write this past year and this has been HUGE. You've also been drawing up a storm. Teacher Lynda says you are an amazing artist and she wouldn't be surprised if she saw you in the spotlight somehow. We wouldn't be surprised if you ended up as someone's boss. Ahem! We love you so much. I am sure you will be wall-ball Champion next year and have that perfect Justin Bieber hair you are coveting. Well, maybe with some gel.

Almost 5 1/2

This is how much things can change in 4 months:
Ian started Kindergarten in September, we bought and moved into our first home and Ian started reading and writing by sounding out things himself!!!
When he's not being silly, he's drawing up a storm and cutting and pasting elaborate 3-D characters. He is very dramatic and talks with his whole body. Still loves his stuffed animals and currently, "Teddy" is his favorite. He loves an adventure and a good party.

more memorable moments...

Five!

We had a wonderful time celebrating at Disneyland...Ian hugged us both at one point and said he loved us. He also spent the two days putting together a costume of his own "Mickey Mouse as a Pirate" (pix when I find them). Love this boy.
