Happy 11 Months, Gordo!

Our sweet, funny, active, temper-tantrum-filled, happy, hungry, cat-gushing, flower-loving boy turns one soon. We celebrated with a grilled cheese at Mel's and some playtime at Habitot Children's Museum in Berkeley. He's been clapping his hands together today and saying "yay!" We say "yay", too.

Strawberry Canyon Pool

Memorial Day.
All he's missing is a beer and a hamburger.
New inflection: "Oooooh" as in, "oooohhhh" pretty flower.

Lake Anza, Tilden Park

A day at Lake Anza with friends Tomas and Dante...the amount of sand that is ingested by babies is scary.

Looking Like a Little Man

Grandma Maria came over yesterday to give Ian a makeover. He's better dressed than his parents!
New words:
Cat
Dog
Duck

Eating Thai Food

Man, will this kid eat ANYTHING these days. Watch out if you're a cow or a chicken.

Big Yaya's Knitting Projects Never End

For Ian's new cousin, who is set to arrive later this year. The first girl in a long line of boys!

Fire Truck

1.Grandma got Ian a firetruck that he is loving right now.
2.Ian always goes to the corner where his cousin Jackson's picture is set up next to his Aunt and Uncle's. He goes nuts for it and calls Jackson "Baaaaabeeee".
3. Big Yaya's hall of fame. Ian has his pics lined up along the painting.

Where You Feel Like Family

Olive Garden to celebrate Mother's day with Yaya and Big Yaya. To get my grandmother to a restaurant is a feat in itself. She's very suspicious of restaurant food.
Ian loved the bread stick and the ravioli. He's a pasta fiend these days.
