Yerba Buena Carousel
Keep an eye out for the progression: on the giraffe; getting off the giraffe; sitting in a boat with his eyes covered. First time on the carousel was "scary" and "fun" but all he really cared about was seeing "one more time mommy" each time we went around.

Ian (pointing to himself): "Wha's dat, Daddy? 'Poopoo'?"
Daddy: "No, that's your 'peepee'. That's what you use to go pee."
Ian: "Oh...(pause) it's cute!"

poolside at Tomas and Maya's
It's sooooooo hot!!! We had a high of 102 in Berkeley! Great time at Tomas and Maya's house. After nap ("It's hot, mommy.) We ran up to Strawberry Canyon for a swim. We barely found parking. Jumped into the pool as fast as we could. After a big sigh of relief, Ian declared, "Swimming is fun."
Daddy came home and we made a post-dinner run to Ciao Bella for "ice cream cone".
While we were putting him to bed, Ian said, "I wuv you, too, Mommy. I wuv you, too, Daddy." Now that's a perfect day.
