Dadee's Band

"At the time of this feature article, Carta is an unsigned band with a finished debut album, entitled The Glass Bottom Boat. After listening to the album, it's difficult to believe that Carta has remained in obscurity for so long (and remains label-less), such is the power of the band's initial recordings. Carta's sound revolves around the use of space and time as a vocalizing component to an otherwise static landscape. Notes and sounds are streched and blurred in the underwater ballet concocted by Kyle Monday and his supporting cast, who create a world unlike we've witnessed before. It's rare that we see an album that is so grounded in reality, yet simultaneously this immaculately breathtaking. We at the Silent Ballet have high hopes for this emerging band, whose future looks as bright as any. The Glass Bottom Boat comes highly recommended for fans of Gregor Samsa, Stars of the Lid, and This is Your Captain Speaking."
