"I didn't mean to do it."

I was getting ready to make mango milkshakes tonight and had the blender near the edge of the counter ready to be plugged in. I was trying to be fast, already imagining Ian pulling the dangling cord; glass pitcher crashing onto his head. I wasn't fast enough. Well, we didn't end up in the emergency room because Kyle ensued in a tug of war over the cord and thankfully won. All our friends with kids know that cry of the humiliation that comes after that scenario. We tried to explain why daddy had to pull the cord away ("BOOM...crashes on your head and you cry!") He thought about it for a while and said, "I didn't mean to do it." He just hates doing anything wrong, poor kid!

Visiting Big Yaya

We had a suprise visit from Silva and Darron and his cousins, Janet and Mikey..."Jaaaaaneeetttt" let Ian jump all over her, which Ian thought was great.
Time stands still in this house...I grew up here and it looks virtually the same. We all loved the stairs and so does our little guy.
